Oversea Travels:
Guidelines for foreign travels shall be modified from the former versions (the 2nd and 3rd ) of OKU’s measures against the new influenza A(H1N1) to the following. Yet, the university still asks all of the students, faculties, and staff to keep themselves cautious about any information concerning the flu and thus be well prepared for a possible contagion in the future.
(Measures against the new influenza A (H1N1) 8th announcement)
Upon May 29th, the prohibition of foreign travels shall be called off. Yet, the university still asks individuals to refrain from overseas business trips as well as travels unless inevitable. While a so-called “7-day rule”, where the persons coming back from overseas must stay home for 7 days after their re-entry, shall also be terminated, one should not fail to perform a health check as well as the following.
<Caution for Oversea Travels>
・ At the time of traveling overseas, both official and private, one should submit the document to declare oversea travels to the related office in the university
・ At the time of traveling overseas, one should check out the latest information at MOFA , WHO, or other reliable websites for matters like the situation of infectious disease outbreaks in one’s destination.

・ Please understand that many countries and regions presently require a health check to the oversea travelers at the immigration. In the case that any suspicious conditions are confirmed like fever or other influenza related symptoms, one may be asked to retain in a certain place for a limited period of time.
・ As for traveling
Mexico
, U.S.A, or
Canada
, please be well aware upon traveling that the virus contagion still continues spreading and that cases of death or contagions of Japanese who came back from the region have been confirmed.
<While Staying Overseas>
・ While staying overseas, try to constantly obtain the latest information like WHO, and be fully conscious of preventions.
・ In the case that the contagion is suspected, immediately visit the local health-care center or fever counseling center and report to the university (072-978-3213 / sousou@bur.osaka-kyoiku.ac.jp)
<Caution for Re-entry>
・ OKU’s “7-day rule”, where the travelers from overseas are required to stand by at home for 7 days, shall be cancelled.
・ Anyone who re-entered
Japan
from overseas are strongly expected to watch their physical condition. Especially for a week after their re-entry, perform a basic check on one’s health like a temperature taking and wear the face mask.
・ If any of suspicious conditions typical to the H1N1 contagion is confirmed, consult with the local health-care center or fever counseling center and report also to the university of your situation.
<Extra-curricular Activities>
Any group activities like extra-curricular events should be carried out, while constantly conscious of the disease preventions, in accordance with the guidelines defined by the university or related leagues. Also, activities taken place outside the campus such as game matches or practices that were prohibited in the 7th announcement may be restarted. For any extra-curricular activities, make sure to work on preventions. (The same rule shall apply to extracurricular activities for OKU affiliated schools.)
