While I was in the baseball club at high school, I thought I'd like to learn in more detail about the body and the nutrients in foods, and that's the reason why I selected Health and Life Sciences. With this major, I was able to learn about the varying healths of a wide range of ages from infants to the elderly, and study it from the perspectives of food, clothing and housing. I have received a job offer from a company involved with infrastructure, and after I start work, my goal for the future will be contributing to the lives of the people of the community. Another good point about the major is the accessibility of the teachers. Students can also choose to acquire one of three different types of teacher's license (school nurse, nursing, or home economics) or qualification as a Health Supervisor . These qualifications should also be useful for securing a position at a company. In the Health and Life Sciences Major, I learned about a diverse range of topics, from food, clothing, and housing in connection with daily life, to health and education. After taking up my job in the prefectural government, I want to provide diverse support for the daily life of prefecture residents, in areas such as child-rearing, education, and the living environment, by exploiting the wide-ranging knowledge I acquired at the university.

The appeal of Health and Life Sciences, I believe, is that students can learn about health from a wide ranging of perspectives. There was a time when I struggled with my career choice, but in taking classes I began thinking I would like to support the health of children, and I decided on the path of a school nurse. At that time, my teachers kindly talked things over with me, and that was a major impetus behind my decision. In this major, I learned three things: specialized knowledge regarding home economics, information about teaching, and information about people's health. By making use of these different types of knowledge, I want to reach the point where I can support my students as a home economics teacher, and help them not only in the classroom but also with their daily life and health.

Taking this major, I was able to learn correct health knowledge that for which it can be hard to find reliable information sources. Aside from jobs requiring a considerable degree of professional expertise, this major aids employment in a wide range of companies, so at the university I chose to learn things that both interested me and can be useful in my own life. I want to steadily incorporate the knowledge about health I've learned over four years into my life going forward. I'm interested in color, and I chose the Health and Life Sciences Major because I could learn about the science of color. While I was in school, I was interested in fashion and color, and I applied myself to acquiring qualifications as a color coordinator. In my search for employment, my aspiration was a job involving people, clothes, and the creation of retail spaces, and I received a job offer from a department store. In the future, I would like to contribute to the creation of sales floor environments that are easy for anyone to use, from the perspective of color science.

Through my life as a university student, I started to want a job that would enable me to support people's health. At the pharmacy chain where I'll work, they do more than just provide pharmaceuticals and food products. They also offer home visit consultations, and provide close patient support. Based on what I've learned over the four years, I want to continue striving in the future, with the aim of acquiring qualifications as a registered pharmaceutical sales clerk.
