Ryuichi Ashino and Shizuo Yamamoto wrote an introductory book for wavelet titled Wavelet Analysis, which was published in Japanese form Kyoritsu Shuppan in June, 1997. This is the image for the cover.
The original image is the Mandelbrot set made by Matlab. The image was made by using the texture mapping function warp of Image Processing Toolbox.
